Questions
- Is a template lease legally valid?
- A signed written lease is binding in most countries, but some require registration or extra documents. The notes under your lease list what applies where you are.
- How much deposit can I ask for?
- Many countries cap it — for example at 3 months' basic rent in Germany. If your figure is over the cap, we say so.
- Can I add my own clauses?
- Yes — write them in 'Anything to add?'. Clauses that break the law are usually void, so we flag them.
